Calabrian Soppressata is one of the oldest and most typical products of Calabria’s gastronomic tradition. It is prepared by selecting the best lean parts of the pig, the fat and the natural aromas (salt, black peppercorns, red ground pepper, sweet or spicy). It can be eaten as a simple hors d’oeuvre: it can be sweet or spicy, the sweet one is flavoured with black pepper, the spicy one contains chilli. |
